A Week From Tomorrow….

…..and I’m outta here!

SOOOOO much to do before the lift off though!  It’s all good, but it’s a LOT.

**  There are some parties. 🙂

**A truck servicing appointment

**A vet appointment

**Friends coming tomorrow to spend the night and hopefully get the internet antenna situated.

**Wandering Spirit’s sound system ‘got broken’..a-hem…, and I need to get that fixed.

**Other last minute checks on WS.

**Packing

**Packing

**Packing and more packing

I won’t know what I don’t have room for until the last minute, and then I’ll have to deal with whatever is left over.

**Review the whole CD “Casita Travel Trailer…A-Z Owner’s Guide”.

**Grab the furry ones, hook up, and take off on August 10.

Plus a dozen or two other details.  But I’m up for it!  I’m SO up for it!  🙂

Awesome a thousand times! Looking forward in reading the pages of your travels.

  2. Carmen says:

To where will you be travelling, Micky?

    • Where ever my Wandering Spirit leads me 🙂 I’ll be heading towards the state of Washington first, with the destination of visiting my son and his wife. On the way there, I’ll be visiting with some friends. Later, the plan is to head on to South Dakota…

  3. Reine in Plano says:

Breathe in…Breathe out…Breathe in…Breathe out…Now don’t worry about having everything in the RIGHT place in Wandering Spirit or your truck. Stuff will almost certainly be moved at least once or twice. And as you’re going through the final purging a good question to ask is “how hard/expensive would this be to replace if I get rid of it now and decide I really need it later?” Also remember that there are trash cans and places to donate stuff along the road. Last suggestion is to evaluate the “to do” list for anything that can be done AFTER lift off, like while relaxing at the first several camps.. Reviewing the A-Z CD may be a better task for a couple of weeks from now. Some of it will actually make more sense then. And since you’re planning to visit friends/family are there things they could help with when you get there. The time will fly by but it will all work out.

    • I LOVE your advice Reine! Thank you. 🙂 Relaxing and enjoying this is a major part of the deal here. I’m finding that in some areas I’m wanted to over-organize….in other areas I’m feeling very scattered. I probably need to take a couple of steps back right now and , yes, breathe….
Everything will get done….this is fun stuff…..and I Don’t Have To Go To Work Tomorrow! Well, technically I do. I need to take some paperwork to Payroll & Benefits, but I’ll only be there for 5 minutes. 🙂

  4. Jackie Frederick Duncan says:

Wishing you a safe and happy journey.!

    • Thanks Jackie. Eventually I’ll head towards Michigan. 🙂

      • Jackie says:

That would be awesome! Let me know ,would you be staying in Algonac State Park? Or where ever I’ll meet you.

      • So Jackie, I’m trying to answer your comment BELOW this, the way I’m seeing it, but I don’t know how to put this reply below your comment. Really have no idea where I’d be staying in that area. None at all. When I think more about getting out that way, I’ll probably figure it out! I know Algonac State Park is really nice, but I think you have to reserve waaaay ahead to get in….

  5. Reine in Plano says:

And ONE WEEK from right now you will be sitting in a campground AFTER leaving on your adventure.

  8. Deborah White says:

Don’t worry! It seems overwhelming but it’ll all be ok. You sound so excited! YAY! Have a great “take off”, that should be a real rush! XO

Just got back from your retirement party. Wonderful turnout. So nice to see everyone, especially all the retirees, and now YOU are one of them !!!!! I am so excited for your new adventures and will be checking your blog regularly. It was always a pleasure working with you and I will miss your smiling face. Hugs!

  10. Hi Else, I am just so blown away by that party!!!!!!! I couldn’t have even imagined a party like that! It was wonderful! 🙂 🙂 🙂 You girls out-did yourselves with kindness and love and fun. And that video….my face is still sore from laughing. I guess what I’m feeling now is…..very loved.

  11. Leslie from Australia says:

Well today in Australia it is the 9th so good luck and I will await with much anticipation your adventures and encounters, tips tricks etc along with you on your journey – I came across you via rvsue & yep she is the best and has gathered a mob of her own, who add to her stories – they are sometimes funny – really the rice/camera story took on a life of its own….Anyhow all the best of luck – happy travels and fine weather……cheers from
    aus.

    • Hi Leslie, welcome! Glad you found me. Yes, Sue has been my inspiration!

Isn’t it funny about the rice? 🙂 Forget “love is all we need”. I think “rice is all we need’. I have a 10 # bag I’d like to bring but don’t know where to put it. Looks like I better find a place though, because I am not sure life can go on without it! :-)))
Sorry, I’m just cracking myself up here….after a trying day, STUFFING my truck full of STUFF. Oh my goodness, it’s disgraceful how much stuff I think I need to get by! Hopefully this will all sort itself out as time goes by and I’ll see what I don’t use….and I’m sure there will be plenty of that!….and go on from there.
